Talk about aging well. On Lazarus, Nick Cave continues his Grinderman role, wielding a guitar for the first time with the Bad Seeds in tow. Here, Cave & Co. are economic, striking a more rudimentary nerve. The title track is about as humourously hooky as Cave gets, while “Night Of The Lotus Eaters” sees him crooning over… barely anything more than drones & clanking. Nice racket boys.
